In-Car

All of the tuition vehicles are maintained to a very high standard and kept clean, tidy and well presented. We have a selection of cars on the road. All have dual control and power steering. Many have air conditioning and electric windows and mirrors. Details of the cars operating in your area can be given over the phone. All our Instructors are hand picked for Streets Ahead, Highly trained and professional. If an Instructor is going to be more than 10 minutes late they will either text or call.

Lessons can be as long or as short as you require, though more than 2 1/2 hours would be too tiring for most, and less than 1 hour would be ineffective. No two pupils are the same, some benefit from shorter lessons, where others prefer longer lessons, some learn quicker than others and some need more time for confidence building. So, at Streets Ahead we will make sure that we cater for your individual needs.

You will receive a Driver's Diary. Learning to drive is a joint effort between you and your instructor, to gain maximum value from every lesson, you need to be an effective team. Your instructor will plan lessons to maximize your progress, and by doing a little planning yourself with the Driver's Diary, you can also help to accelerate your learning progress. By spending a few moments to complete your Driver's Diary sheet after each lesson and then reviewing it again before your next lesson, you will help your brain to integrate the new information that you are learning. By looking at the sheets over a few weeks, you may find that there are patterns to your learning, noticing your strengths and weaknesses will help you to gear yourself up and learn more easily.

Finally

We all learn at different rates. You may know someone who passed the test with only a few lessons, others might take 100 hours or more. The important thing is the quality of your learning, not how quickly you pass the test ( although your instructor will work to help you pass as quickly as possible ). By achieving a good, safe driving standard, you will save money over the years through efficient and economic driving, this will far outweigh the cost of your lessons.
